Established over 7 years ago, Derbyshire North West Scout Caving Team exists to offer an introduction to caving and mine exploration for Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts.
Based mainly at the Victorian Copper Mines at Alderley Edge, we offer weekly trips into the maze of passages hidden underneath the edge.
We work together with the land owners, The National Trust and the Derbyshire Caving Club - who are custodians of the many mines at the edge to ensure managed, safe and controlled access.
All of our team are members of The Scout Association and comply to all TSA guidelines and regulations holding current safeguarding, safety, DBS checks and first aid certificates.
All our trip guides hold the relevant Caving and Mine Exploration permits issued by the Scout Association for the specific venues we visit.
We also offer basic introductory trips into the limestone caves of Derbyshire on request.
